Why should the deal be stunning? If the seller asks a fair price and the buyer accepts, pays his money, get his gun, and is satisfied that its in the condition that was advertised, everyone should be happy. I might sell a gun, but I'm unlikely to give it away. I might buy a gun, but just because you owned it doesn't make it more valuable then any other of that make and model, in similar condition. I've seen a few adds for handguns recently than seemed to be asking fair money for what is being sold. I bought my AR on the EE. I considered several all which seemed to be fairly priced, but one had all the features I was looking for, it was described as lightly used, in excellent condition, so I bought it. When it arrived I was very pleased, it was better than I expected, and had it been listed "as new" it would have still been truthful description, and it saved me $500 plus tax compared to the cost of new. Know what it is that you want when you go browsing. Have a price range in mind. Discount those that are over priced, or seem too good to be true, or are just outright junk. Once you say, "I'll take it!" be prepared to make payment in a timely fashion, with the anticipation that it will be shipped to you in a timely fashion. If everyone lives up to their part of the deal, everyone should be satisfied.
This is why Tradex is so successful. They provide an honest and realistic description of their inventory, they ask a fair price, they do their best to ship promptly, and they handle their customers in a respectful manner. Folks wanting to sell their used guns on the EE would do well to follow that example. Want to destroy your reputation on CGN? The EE is the place to do it.
