The new batches of Norinco M305B from Marstar still have flash hider welded on?

Not sure about marstar but i picked up a 2014 at CT and the flash hidet was not welded. Phew. Makes things much easier.

Local CT had shortys and the hardwood shortys.

Yes they are tac welded on if U purchase from Marstar. Mine was anyway. They are not too difficult to remove. There are threads on how to remove the welded flash hider.

I got one from ct in welland a few months ago. It was welded pretty good. Beat the hell out of it on hungry's bench vise. I'm almost worried I bent the barrel down slightly. Took it to silverdale last month and it seemed to be hitting unusually low. Could just be me, still new at this.

bought one here in Edmonton off a local dealer and it was not welded on...was sooo happy about that..has turned out to be a run of good luck with this one
