I talked to faxxon about that awhile ago.... They are working in a Canadian dealer....also working on bringing a non restricted version to Canadian customers....so basically a non restricted AR lower...

Unless the law changes, no such thing can exist. They would have to totally redesign the upper and lower together so their new lower doesn't accept AR uppers. Or it will still be restricted.

As far as the non restricted AR lower goes....where the ARAK is piston driven....they could maybe make a version that uses a stock system similar to a xcr that's non removable, with a proprietary bolt carrier system that won't work with any AR.but again,I don't have any info other then they told me they are working on making a non restricted ARAK,I believe it was Baer arms who was doing the importation.

Spoke with Faxon guys as well, they did submit a design for a non-restricted AR type lower to be approved. Pending
As far as importing the uppers: no problems there apparently!

Fantastic upper. Quick swap barrels. Mine came with .223 / 300 blk / 7.62x39 kit that included a 7.62 bolt + pin.
Runs with XCR 7.62 10 round pistol mags.
Shooting it on a Tactical Innovation lower equipped with Hiperfire's hypertouch 24C trigger with the 7.62 spring for consistent primer percussion on bulk military type ammo.
