Has any one here had anything built by DOWNRANGE PRECISION Rifles. They are from Gunn Alberta. i'm putting a new build together and was wondering if these guys would be worth looking at.

Yes Byron, I have had one already built there and he has another on the go for me now. Good guy, nice work, knows his stuff.

I had a 20 Extreme built already which is a 222 Remington necked down to 20 cal and he has my 6.5 Extreme which is similar to your saum. It uses the 300 Ruger Compact Magnum as the parent case. I believe Julien already has a reamer for your SAUM. Both of mine were built on Remington 700's that he worked over, I used barrels from Bob Jury (Jury Custom Barrels in Red Deer), Julien bedded the actions and for now I have stock triggers. I seen his page on facebook. I'm using a Jury barrel as well on a 700 action. My plan is to build this rifle under 7lbs as my sheep hunting rig. I have left a Message with Julien hope he gets back to me.
