love it!!

Question is what have you done to make it better?

I do not like the mag release and want to do the drop free release mod, I was thinking the slingshot mod for the bolt release, front sight fiber optic upgrade, Hogue finger grip on the way, and maybe the loaded chamber indicator mod?

All over a period of time.

Any thoughts what is the best mods.

Thanks
Randy

Just took my 22/45 to the range two days ago. The first thing I'm going to mod will be the removal of the magazine disconnect (that may be what you mean by drop free mod). The inability to fire or drop the hammer without a mag inserted is nonsense (and adds complexity and one more thing that can go wrong during take down and reassembly) and the extra parts contribute the trigger suckage.

Slingshot would probably be next although I usually thumb the release to reload.

Cheers,

Slingshot is easy. Might as well. Magazine disconnect for sure. Chamber indicator replacement doesn't hurt. VQ extractor and firing pin if you want (might as well). Compensator? (for the LCF). I put hogue grips on. Polish up the required parts for a trigger job. I was going to buy VQ parts but a polish helped alot

I absolutely hate my 22/45. A fussy pig about ammo, difficult to tinker with when cleaning and disassembly. Dropped barrel chipped my ankle bone, hurts like bejezzus.
Bought a S&W 10 shot in stainless, popped a spring kit and away ya go.
How much different is the 22/45 Lite vs the 22/45 bull barreled.

Contact Sam Lam Bushing for your mag disco mod. Great guy to deal with…located in Toronto.

Thanks just ordered it,this is my 3rd Ruger really like what they have done not to mention the access to parts and tuner support.

Should be easy to sell at least not many used ones out there.

i put some Hogue love on mine, then fiber optic sites, then a red dot, then a custom comp out of the states.

havnt dont anything with the guts of it yet as they havnt ticked me off enough yet.
have been tossing around the idea of sending it out to have ALL the mods done if and when i ever hear of a gunsmith that does good work on them.

dont think i have any new pics with the new red dot or fiber optics on it.... ill go look
