Hi guys, well im busy working up some loads for my Tikka, 260 Remington. Lapua Brass, WLR primer, IMR 4831 and H4831SC loaded from about 3.5gr below max and increased in .5gr incriments all the way to max. COAL on all bullets 2.775. 120Gr Hornady GMX. Now my gun has a looooong throat max cartridge length to touch the lands is 2.978 with the GMX(measured with the sinclaire OAL length guage). my max magazine length in the Tikka Clip is 2.835,,,, So my usual way to work up a load is like stated above, start about mid way between max and minimum and work my to max, them adjust COAL until she tightens right up, but the results with these two powder and bullet combonations are so horrible I kinda think Id be wasting my "precious" powder supply!! anyways groups are 3-4 inches for all 10-12 powder/bullet combonations. anyways I was wondering if anybody shoots the 120 GMX and what powder/Primer/ how far off the lands ect... recipe they use.
Thanks Fellas
