Not finding 10mm ammo in Canada by the usual search method, would anyone have any useful information I can go with please? I look Stateside at the Doubletap hardcast with longing, if only...

Thanks for any help possible,

FM

I haven't been able to buy factory 10mm for a few months now, although it does pop up on the EE from time to time. My advice to you is to reload, 10mm Starline brass is cheap and bullets, primers and powder is easy to come buy.

Now before everyone piles on about how pistol powder is hard to come by, longshot and 800x are great 10mm powders and are in stock at most large powder suppliers.

I know what you mean its a joke !! I cant buy 10mm anywhere or even find any type of powder to reload it for months now ?!! I did order some from I Run Guns US site awhile back , was a bit pricey after the dollar conversion and shipping though.

What powder suppliers ??

Reloading is my plan but if I could buy the occasional box of 50 I would also do it. Very much want to try hard-cast bullets like the Buffalo Bore or US DoubleTap hunting rounds. Have hardcast bullets appeared on our horizons?

With thanks

I like 800x it goes boom in a lot of stuff. 44, 45 and I'm sure it will do great in the 10mm too. The way the powder drought is going, it might see the inside of a few more cals too.

i was told Wanstalls and CSC usually have some in stock. Whether they ship, i don't know.

There is lots of the weak American Eagle stuff at various shops around Calgary, but no one wants to pay $40 for a box of 40S&W strength 10mm....................................................................

V good point.. Hornady or Remington are the only ones who seem to make reasonable 10mm loads these day (and even those are lighter than the Norma loads of old.)

Custom Reloading Service (Maple Ridge, BC). John loads 10mm using new starline brass. I think it was $30.00/50
Look here (CGN) under Dealer Network, Ammunition/Reloading

If you're in Ottawa you've got Higginson close by so that's a bonus. Check your local Baron/Sail. I saw some in the Brossard location ( way overpriced ) so maybe another branch might have some to.

Iirc Godwin ( Goodwin ) bullets is near you to. Very nice cast bullets.

In a genuine pinch you go use the old trick of loading 40 SW brass with light loads and loaded long.

I grab it whenever I come across it. Currently sitting on a few years supply.

I have a DW 1911 and a G20 to feed and 10mm is not always easy to find.
