never paid more than 250 with tax for corrosive , my last crates of 1320 cost me 230 , and the sellier bellot stuff 210 last time , so to 210 ro 275 it still have a marge ... not a fan of the chinesse scrap ,
The DA/LCW non corrosive currently in stock at CanAm is actually Ukrainian made. There was some discussion about it in the CanAm forum a while back. They got exactly one large shipment out before everything went to sh!t over there, it took a while to ship and process through customs, which is why there was the lag.
"Dominion Arms" is CanAm's house brand - not all products with that lable come from China/Norinco.
Generally, I don't have a lot of love for CanAm, and I'll gladly spend an extra few $$ to get the same product from just about anyone else. But I thought I'd give a 1000 rd case of the DA/LCW HP ammo, and I'm glad I did. It's good ammo - groups tighter than any of the surplus stuff. Just a lot more consistent and doesn't leave as much soot in the barrel/gas block.
As for the corrosive v. non corrosive argument: Get both. I have a very large stockpile of corrosive, which I use most of the time, and especially on days when I know I'm going to be shooting high volume.
I also keep 500-1500 rds of non corrosive around, for days when I know it's going to be either inconvenient to clean after shooting, or if I'm going to be shooting low volume (under 50 rounds), where it seems a bit of a wasted effort to have to clean immediately after.
As for the OP - That's a good way to go to the range. "Never count your money while you're sitting at the table." Just go and shoot for as long as you want to shoot.
