I've read when you shorten from 22" down to 18.5, the POI changes. With the site moved further back to the gas block. How did it affect your shot? Did you have to change your front site height? Or are you using your original front site?

Some folks got their shorty with a goofy extra tall front post, but mine came with the same front sight as the 22" barrel rifle.
I immediately ordered the Bush Rifle front sight from Springfield Arms. You can see it in the photo above. It corrected sighting problems with the stock...I think the 100yd is now 7 clicks up. It comes with a NM front post.
You have to phone S.A. to order it...it is not on their website. Get the screw that goes with it, the stock Nork won't work.
