I have a chance to get one of these for myself. Not for the company. So need to know the bbl lenght
It looks to be 4 inch and the www shows 4 inch
Do we know if this is prohib or not ?
I'm away now and can't check the FRT

All i know is I have a trooper mk iii in .22 with 6 " barrel.

Decent gun, heavy trigger and full weight to it makes it a nice practice gun for using my 686!

4" is prohib, Colt made them in 2, 4, 6 and 8 inches... Epps has a 6" barrel in stock. The Trooper MK III has a decent action, for me, and it's much more like an S&W than a Colt to shoot or repair.

The most medaled handgun at the NRA on-line museum is a Colt Officers Match Model in 38 Special. Three gold medals in 1912 and another two gold medals in 1920.

Myself I believe that Colt DA non-Python revolvers are truly a sleeper market.

I like them, have three. Two six inchers, 357 and 22, and a four inch 357. That's the Mk III. The old Trooper (leaf springs instead of coil springs , among other things) isn't as common, but very nice revolvers. I also have a officers model match target (same frame, but adjustable sights and a little better action). - dan

so what is a prohib 4 inch 22 with 90% finish, original wood grips worth?

Epps surplus factory barrel, "VG", 6", will come in at well under $175 shipped and taxed.
Restricted, it's about a $600 gun in "90%". Maybe less, things seem to be selling for a bit less these days.
Cost of having the barrel put on ... work backwards from $600 if you don't want to lose your shorts.
I bought a .357 4" from the EE for $300 and it's in that same "90%" or maybe a bit better. That was shipped.

So probably about $300, maybe $350 if you're feeling generous. It's worth what you'll pay, or what someone else will if they'll pay more. I don't see these as tremendously valuable. Heck, I don't see the "value" in Diamondbacks or Pythons either, frankly, I prefer the Smiths or a good early model Ruger.
