Well this looks like it is the version that we would be getting.

If I am not mistaken this is what Rich LPS was referring to a few months ago.

Looks almost exactly the same as the P30. What's the difference other than the trigger and slide stop?

Sfp9 is striker fired, it's a main difference, also trigger should be better than p30..

Striker fired. Essentially the long barrel version of the vp9 that got released in the us earlier this year.

In another thread P&D said FN sports is in receivership, so who is it bringing the HK in from Germany??? I really want to get my hand on one of the factory pistols instead of having an aftermarket barrel that is not CHF and nitrated.

It's very close to official announcement. The sfp9 is going to be the international variant of the vp9 with a slightly longer barrel, so it will be legal here and other places. kinda like a P30L to P30. only striker fired.

The only thing that is holding me back on it is the location of the slide stop/release. Too similar location as Sigs.

Rumour is that .40 & .45 versions will follow, for the US market at least. Probably a few years before that happens though.

There will be a 45 variant following up but I suspect that is at least a year out.
