How does this compare with the bog standard SAM commander so far as finish and internal refinement go?

This one is a good looker but I am not a fan of the barrel nub nor the rail.

When i had it in my hand, after shooting a couple of mags, i was told the price, i would have guessed 1000.00+ since it is such a well made and gorgeous gun... I had to order it right away... God i never have heard of SAM pistol 1911 before, that was a reality check... JP.

Now that's a temptation. It looks like it would be a good way to dip a toe into the 1911 pool without spending 1K or more. So do these SAM's have a rep of being decent guns for the money?...better than the Chinese ones?

Sure my SAM tactical is in the mail, i will give it a very good roadtest and if it's as good, i think it is, i will order one Omega in 40S&W and one Commander in 9mm... JP.

Got my Commander Tactical 45, hard to believe having such a well crafted and tight pistol for so little money... Thanks for it, my discovery will lead to a SAM in 9mm and 40 S&W in a very near future... JP.

The SAM's really are incredible value for dollar!

My finding is that a SAM pistol after full stripping of it at the same time as my R1 show that the finition details in the SAM are way better and tighter than in the Remington... Interresting... Guess the QC is very well respected in the Phillipines... JP.

I agree a 10mm would be great in 1911... With my Dillon 1050 Autodrive ( not running yet, a couple of weeks to inauguration) and those 1500 once fire 10mm cases sitting in a box in the basement, the fun factor could be huge... Give us good news Grumpy... JP.

Get an Omega .40 reamed out to 10mm....one member converted his already.
