Anyone have a Russian sks or mosin nagant from Canadaammo? If so what quality were they in, fit and finish as well as bore. We're they accurate shooters?

Looking at grabbing one of each of their rifle/ammo combos but want to make sure they are shooters befor I drop $800. I know westrifle and Corwin have real nice quality pieces but they don't offer ammo and rifle combos.
 
I can't comment on the mosin's canam has, but the sks's are a typical refurb, mostly numbers matching, ###'d stock, greasy, but they shoot just as well as any other sks out there. Wether or not you get a good bore or an excellent bore is up to chance and not something you can generalise with any surplus rifle.
 
Well I just ordered the sks and ammo combo, so we shall see lol. I was looking through a thread in CanAm's dealer section and the pics of their sks looked decent cosmetically, seeing as they are refurbs they should shoot well enough. Not looking for a pristine one, just a good shooter. I'll post some pics once it get here and I clean the cosmoline out of it. Just gotta figure where to put another 1200 rounds, if all looks good I'll be ordering the 91/30 and ammo package next.
 
My sks and 1200 rounds of non corrosive ammo showed up today, gotta say I'm happy with what showed up. 51 Tula refurb, parkerized, non chrome barrel with nice rifling, free floating firing pin and minimal cosmoline. Import laser marking under gas tube, small repair of the birch stock. Non matching #'s on the magazine and stock, numbers matching on the bolt and receiver. Looks like it should be a shooter, which is what I was after. I'll post some pics in a bit once I load them into photobucket. Mosin Nagant is next from CanAm.

I ordered their combo deal, $399 gets you 1200 rounds of non corrosive Norinco and a Russian sks with free shipping. All said and done it was $448 after taxes to my door.

Which is $30 more than Lever arms sks and a 1320 round Romanian crate of corrosive, pretty sweet deal as far as I'm concerned. I was hoping for an early year sks in a birch stock so it's a win win in my books, the fact that the rifling is crisp is nice as well. Just gotta find some time to strip it down and give it a proper cleaning
 
Looks to be in pretty great shape other than that arsenal stock repair. Id consider it a pretty fair deal since the shipping on $200+ orders is always free.
 
tradex has a similar deal. A russian refurb sks with 1320 rounds of corrosive for $379 +tax, free shipping. awesome to deal with and great quality product. highly recommended.

For a corrosive ammo deal I'll just go to Lever Arms. $375 for the same deal and I get to hand pick my sks. For non corrosive I'll order online and take the risk of not seeing the rifle befor buying
 
Stripped and cleaned it tonight and I'm looking forward to shooting it, there's no play between the receiver and stock so hopefully it will be a nice shooter. Bore looks great all cleaned up!

Yes Lever arms is a great deal if you can pick it up. If you have to pay shipping I'd go with tradex
