Considering getting one of theses rifle through one of the cgn dealers. Cant find much info on the web about them!

Anyone own one, or no of a link to more info on them?

I was looking at them to but decided not to purchase one based on the fact that there is very little info on them reguarding any warranty issues or parts in the event that you would need it.

It's the Russian counter to Anschutz. I have one of the first generation CM2 rifle. They're nice but I'll still take an Annie, Walther, or Suhl over one. For informal target/varmint I would go CZ, Kimber (if you can find one), or Cooper. Except for price I'd also consider of the Russian rifles the biathlon style 7-2, 7-4 etc version with the straight pull. It's also the base for the Russian 22LR Sniper rifle SV-99. Unfortunately they won't sell the SV-99 to civilians or export them. Even getting the stock to convert one over is almost impossible.

I wouldn't pay big bucks for one. Nice but not that nice.

It helps if you get a bit of history with these rifles. Start with the CM2 and then go from there. Also do a web search for CM-2ko, CM2-Ko and SM-2. You should find some stuff on that US rimfire site.

Here's a picture of my Vostock CM2. This is a not very common first gen one. I was fortunate to get this rifle at what I would call a steal. Again its a first gen. The later ones that are a bit more common and have the same sort of recessed Crown as the new ones were the Ural model. Then it carries on. Good guns and for the right price I wouldn't hesitate. But... there is no way I would buy the newest one at Annie or other high end 22LR prices.

I also have a newer CM2- Cadet. Fully adjustable trigger. Mine is down to just over a pound. Beautiful rifle to shoot. To mount a scope you need to find rings that will clamp down to 8mm to fit the dovetail. Have only had it out twice since I bought it but is showing promise.
Mine looks sililar to this one.

Seems to be a bit of info on CM2(s), but nothing really on the KO

Sam, were did you pick up the Cadet?

A friend of mine bought it from someone else for me. When I bought it there was no rear sight on it. I have since found one that was drilled and tapped to accept Anshutz apertures. I have never seen one of these listed in the EE so I am guessing they aren't too plentiful. You might be able to get I run guns to bring one up from the states for you. What city you close to? I travel between Oakville and Havelock if you want to have a look at it.

I wonder if prices on stuff like this will increase due to limited supply from the sanctions?
