I've never waterfowl hunted before and I wanna try it. So I'm in the market for a new camo semi auto 12g. I wanna spend max around $900 taxes in. What are your thoughts.

I'm looking at the stoeger m3500 or maybe a wetherby SA-08

Pick up a used Beretta or Browning.

Maxus or A400. A little more than you wanna spend, but very much worth it in my opinion. Buy once, cry once. :)

Oh and Camo isn't a 'must have' for waterfowl. Sure, you look cooler, but dead ducks don't notice.

Well said.....if a guy wants camo because he likes camo no problem, but if he wants camo because he thinks he needs it, he has some learning to do.

With Semi-Auto's I believe it is important to spend the money. A Beretta A400 or A391 would do the job just fine. A Maxxus or SX3 is also a good choice. Beretta offers the A300 Outlander and Extrema both a good value as well (new).

I have one camo gun and wish I didn't. But if that's what you want then it will narrow your search a little bit.

Same as SA-08 same maker two barrels included One 18.5 and 28
For factory direct price around $500 is anyone intrested?

Check out the versamax sportsman, great sale on an WSS plus a $50 gift card and $100 mail in rebate. Light recoiling, simple to clean, shoots anything in any condition. Love mine.

That is a good call. Try the 870, Mossberg 500, Maverick 88, Winchester SXP, Weatherby PA-08. All good guns. Go pick one up and see what you like as each is different in its own way. They generally don't lose much value and you could sell later on if you don't like waterfowl hunting or wish to upgrade.

A used wingmaster (older) is always a good choice if you can make due with 2-3/4

ive never shot at a migratory bird in my life so i dont really want to spend big coin on something i may not enjoy
