I love the old Colt Government models for the clean lines and deep blue. Kinda spendy though. Not crazy on dead flat and coarse parked finishes but that's the reality further down the price point. Some, like the RIA or even STI have big n gaudy roll marks. I was honestly looking at the R1.
How does the basic SAM military compare with their higher end models for internals? Same or less polish and more haste in the fire controls?
Honestly I might end up keeping my eye open for a Springfield Armoury model.
