I was out elk hunting this week and while stalk hunting, a squirrel sat about 10 yds away from me up in a tree and started barking like crazy. Those little buggers will sit there all day and give you grief. So i took out my Costco flashlight, the one with the strobe setting and are sold in a 3 pack. I held my strobe on that squirrel for 30 seconds and he continued to bark. I turned the light off, he stopped immediately and scrambled down the tree and took off. :) So next time a squirrel gives you away, try the costco flashlight on strobe.

The local solution for still hunting is to wait until they quiet down on their own, or if they don't, then you dine on squirrel. But of course the first part of that won't work well if you're moving.

I have had to restrain myself from blasting more than one bush telegraph squirrel. If i wasnt hunting a game animal hundreds of times his weight...would have blasted them.

My little dog just hates the buggers with a passion. Going to need to thin the herd out for him this fall.

I had one dropping acorns on my head last week, so I nailed him with a cup of piss when he came down. Pissface didn't show up any more after that
