hi all , from NEW ZEALAND , and I have just bought my first NEA DMR , love it , and cant wait to start competing and hunting with it , I have just come back to firearms after being away from them for a few years , also , just bought a gen 3 g17 , sig sauer p226 , and a gsg,22 1911 ... look forward to asking lots of questions , and learning .
will add pics , once I figure out how to do it

some of you more eagle eyed may have noticed I have 1 leg , motor bike accident in 2010 ..... I now have the latest in surgical and prosthetics , surgery is called osseo integration , basically a long titanium rod inserted into my femur that sticks out the end of my leg , and I bolt my knee and foot direct to it ...

Awesome pics, nice guns, good set up on the leg. What kind of guitar do you have in the background ? Oh, I guess your allowed to hunt with an ar , over there. Anyway, good luck with it all..... Brian

welcome!!

that leg is sick!!!!!

sorry for its loss!

its one mean piece of kit though!

here is a funny clip that might make you laugh..

Thanks for not making me ask about the leg. Welcome to CGN.

What's the gun-ownership situation over there like?

Welcome to CGN and congrats on the AR. Are ya gonna get a suppressor for it? If so, don't post pics of it or you'll just make a bunch of us here jealous! :)

Nice toys, congrats on your first AR! Yeah, sorry for the loss of your leg, but the replacement looks pretty futuristic, holy. Can you tell us more about it? Looks like there's a bluish light source coming from it, what's that about?

Akk I hate when Kiwi's post here. It reminds me of the fact our firearm laws suck badly. To the OP, welcome to CGN. Please dont post pictures of the NEA suppressed in the wilderness, I dont think I could take it. Let us know how the NEA DMR works out for you. I was looking at one a few months back and it was a nice looking AR.

cheers for the welcome boys , as most of you know hunting in NZ I can take a suppressed ar 30 round mag , or ak or scar etc etc... and get this , no tags needed for deer ..... or limit ....
as for the leg , the bluish light coming off it is a Bluetooth connection, it is computer controlled hydraulic made by a german company called otto bock , the knee is called the genium knee , at the time of the pic I was using the remote to change settings ...
I am getting a suppressor made by a local firm here ... once on I will be silent ...ish .... I have spent almost 20 years in the NZ fire service , and met my canadian wife when I served in the Saskatoon fire and protective service for a year in 2007 , love Canada and would move there but my Saskatchewan wife (kindersly) for some reason , enjoys snowless winters here .....

She’s from Saskatoon and prefers snowless winters, imagine that. The Wet Coast isn’t bad, it’s like a tropical rain forest without the tropics. At least you don’t need to shovel rain, haha!

I think there are other answers on here about kiwi gun ownership , ... but we are similer to you guys with the big exception that we can take most firearms hunting , handguns can only be used on approved ranges and not taken hunting, however we legally can attach a suppressor to anything and use it ,
as for my nea with a 7 round mag it can be owned by all standard firearm licence holders .....and taken hunting .... but add a 30 round mag and separate pistol grip/buttstock , you need an endorsement on you fal ... which I have , same with handgun ownership .... I also just got "C" endorsement which means I can legally buy full auto weapons , just not allowed to shoot them ...... I want an mp5
