Hi I'm about to buy a scope mount for my SVT and haven't made up my mind yet. I've read all the posts I can see back to the start of this forum and I really can't determine which is the better between the Corwin picatinny slide on(hammer) type or the other canadian mount which is the Addley? mount. I hear the Addly slides forward due to not having a rear end device to control recoil and forward movement. I haven't heard if a fix for this is completed yet. The Corwin seems to address this problem with a bolt and nut set up through the trigger take down hole. I haven't heard any reviews about the Corwin set up but it seems that it could hold up to the recoil better. The recoil seems quite light with the SVT being semi, nothing like a mosin anyway! So if anybody is running any of these mounts Id like to hear from both camps. How is the cheek weld? Is one lower than the other? Is it sliding or on good? and how is it perfoming and holding up? I know there are a few people with these two mounts and a follow up of your opinions would be very helpful!
Thanks in advance. Cheers.
