Phull Otto is announcing our Saturday November 22, 2014 Two Gun (Rifle and Pistol) Match at Colby Shooting Club! All registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. All registration fees are non-refundable but you may assign your registration to another shooter.

Here are the Details:
"Bring what you shoot two gun match!"
Rifle and handgun
Date: Saturday November 22, 2014 (see squad times bellow)
Location: Colby Shooting Club, Waterloo

3 squads of 6 shooters each.
Squad times: 9am, 11:30am, 2pm . Please arrive 30 mins prior.
Cost: $20, EMT only (details will be emailed to those who secure a spot)
Requirements: holster qualification (Black badge, CDP, Club certification or similar)
Stages: 3 in total
Round count: high; details to follow.
Rules: The match will respect the 3 Gun Nation rules and scoring. Full details can be found here : http://3gunnation.com/regionals/rules_awards
We use one division only. All shooters will be automatically registered in Open division!
We will be using Practiscore to compile results.

WARNING - G:Steel ammunition is expressly forbidden in our range. This includes steel jacketed, steel cased or steel core ammunition. As a rule of thumb: if it sticks to a magnet it is not allowed. Firing steel ammo during the match will lead to instant DQ and will incur paying for damages if the case.

I've got a question about the minimum round count. Since it's not published on the public forum, I'll pull a number out of my rectum and lets say it's 100 for example's sake... Does a minimum round count of 100 indicate that we'll be engaging 100 targets or does it assume double-taps, so it's as if engaging 50 targets?

The reason I'm asking is... For an IPSC match, the minimum round count would typically be 2x the number of targets, so 100rds would be for 50 targets and I'd bring 200-250rds to be safe...

Now, if the minimum round count under 3gn rules involves just one hit per target, that would mean that I'd be engaging 100 targets, would probably assume double-tapping all of them, which would mean that I'd need to bring 400-500rds of ammo, just for the peace of mind.

If you don't wanna read through all of this, my question is as follows: Would bringing twice the minimum round count be a safe bet for this match?

Lol thanks.. I had a box with about twice the round count of ammo that my rifle is already sighted in for (might throw in a couple of boxes of Norinco stuff just to be safe - shouldn't make a difference at Colby lol), and I wanted to burn through it anyway, so this is good peace of mind. Also, I'm almost out of 9mm, so it's good to know that what I got is more than enough until I pick up some more on Sunday :)
 
Fantastic match gentlemen! We had a lot of fun shooting it and things were very well organized. Hope you don't mind but our squad stopped at Boston Pizza for lunch afterwards and put it on Phull Otto's tab ;)
 
Thanks for throwing a great match! Fun stages and WELL-organized! Great work by the club and by the volunteers!

Now I wish I didn't have major mag issues, which led me to mess up my mental game, but that's all on me. The match itself was a blast!
