Hey guys, my buddy has a cz 550fs in 6.5x55 (gorgeous gun) he wants to mount optics on it before hunting season, but with it having a high bolt release he's decided to use a 20mm or 19mm scope on it. I was going to get him rings for his birthday, but im having a hard time finding some, I'm also afraid if I get him any old set of rings they will be to low and the scope will get hit by the bolt. Anybody want to chime in with experiences or suggestions? Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Hey thanks for the suggestion! But I need something for 19-20mm scope. Or has anyone else used 1in scopes on the full stocks without bolt issues.

I might be getting a CZ 550 FS .308 so I'm looking for a good set as well. Probably put a Prostaff 3-9x40 on it.

I have a CZ 550 in Full Stock and I mounted a leupold 3x9 x 40 with Warne QD rings. Fit and works great.
For what its worth, check out the thread on Tikka Battue - the manufacturer of the rings I use (Ma-Si) makes the same style QD mount for CZ 550. Their rings and mounts are solid and well made, and I've used them on my M55 now for few years with no issues.
Get him rings designed for CZ or BRNO rfles as the rear ring will have a lug that latches into the receiver.
