Diemaco SA Rifle Pics - post 'em here

Oh yeah, saw the slide show, nice pics in there for sure. Hope to see more pics from other owners too.

Here's a pic I found on army.ca of the issued rifle with the KAC M5 RAS on it....probably a pretty old pic.

That's the infamous KevinB....

Now for those of you who seem to have missed the point of this picture thread and have derailed it with crabbing about Diemaco (especially those who did the derailing and then whined for pictures), this is what it's supposed to be about.

Let's try to play nice eh?

Beautiful! Now I am very confused do I go sweet black or cool green....

Where is the pic???
Not sure, it was there earlier....now it's gone.

Anyway, more pics:

Just need to find that kitchen sink to bolt on to the rails and I'm all set.

First is my IOP SA20 in green with a SpecterDR 1.5-6. Haven't had the 20 out yet, it just showed up this week but I'm looking forward to scrubbing green paint chips off the feed ramp :p, second is my SA15.7 with a SpecterDR 1-4

15.7" with KAC and some kit. I will most likely put the old 6921 furniture on it if I decide to beat the gun up a bit. The Pmag is tight, might have to shave the rivet down a bit.

I’m starting to think I’m into the wrong hobby, because not a day goes by I don’t moan about how I can’t afford all the toys I want.....two CCs and two Elcans to go with the, holy $hit, nice man. I just went to the LGS and even with the friends and family discount, the best price was $1,800 for the Elcan Speter DR 1-4. It’s a nice optic, but I will probably never abuse my personal SA20 like I do my C7A2. I’ve got a Bushnell on mine right now, it’s fine for shooting off the bench, but it would be nice to have an Elcan so I can at least practice with the same reticle, magnitication, and adjustments. I only recently learned to shoot open-gate with the C79A2.

it helps that my wife was also in the reserves for almost 20 years and is going to be getting her PAL once the hockey season start-up craziness for our boys settles down. Everything is A-OK if the Mrs. can play!

I finally got some time to give my SA15.7 a wipe to get rid of the excess factory lube. I noticed that the ring that holds the hand guards in place has some gouges. My gun is new and unfired. Anyone else have scratches like this on the ring? It looks like someone used a tool to pry the ring down. Its all I can think of what could have scratched it.

Should not look like that from the factory. Have you contacted Korth?

My guess is the people at korth must have damaged it when they swapped out the furniture. I would contact them and get them to fix it.

I'll send an email to korth. I don't know what can be done as this doesn't look like a part they can send me to swap. Looks like a big job.

Yeah it's not something I would do on a new rifle. You would most likely have to send back.
I don't think Korth is the warranty center either.

I'll have to check mine. Disappointing a distributer doesn't have the proper tool to remove new/stiff hand guards. I wouldn't get it changed but they could maybe send you some touch up for it.

It will have to go back unfortunately. The slip ring needs to be replaced, and I would not be satisfied with a touch up. In any case, the starting point for this is Korth since it was an IOP rifle. Once he gets the ball rolling I will ensure that it is made right very quickly. It will have to go through Korth as we cannot accept shipments at the factory.

I have not yet announced the warranty centre information, but in the meantime I am the primary contact for warranty issues. The contact for CC is in a sticky at the top of our forum and will be forwarded to me through the email on the CC website. I will always look for the fastest way to resolve any issues - and I usually can since there is no import/export issues.

Ok. I will wait to hear from korth first. I'm not planning on shooting it so if it goes back for repair I'm fine with that. I'd rather see it repaired properly than me globbing some paint on the scratches.
I think I derailed this thread.
