So originally I was gonna go with the DDM4V5 FROM Wolverine, then I saw the Colt on IRG. Should I go with the Colt and use the extra money to add some upgrades to it, or go with the DD?

Unless it's a huge savings I would buy from Wolverine. If you have any issues they will be right there to help you sort it out. Not much product support will come from IRG once the sale is made.

Both are great rifles... but since it sounds like you want to "upgrade" the Colt to a DD format then just buy the DD. If it was a situation of the Colt not wanting to be modified, then it would be a better deal.

If you want to change the hand guard on the Colt for a free float rail and do it properly you'll need some tools ( vise block, upper clamp, armorer wrench, torque wrench) so you might to consider it in the price.

Well by upgrades I just meant a pistol grip, stock, maybe a sight, etc. I'm going to be looking at prices for some things like that when I get home but I was also factoring in the price of ammo. I could get about 1000 rounds and still have a bit of extra cash.
