A friend of mine is interested in selling a LB .22 trainer and has no idea what to ask. It is a real minty example, all matching serial numbers. Includes transit case for .22 trainer but S/N on transit case does not match rifle. No pics at present. Anybody have an idea for ballpark value?

No definitive number without pics, but if it is all original and not a put together regardless of the case not matching (LOTS don't) it can go for $1800 and up these days.

Damn, I saw two really nice ones at a show earlier this year for $1200 each with the transit cases. Was tempted but didn't have the sheckels on hand to do a deal. Could have bought both and sold one and made back a good portion of that (if somebody would actually pay $1800)

There are many fakes and very few factory assembled ones out there. The area of the serial number is the giveaway. $1600-1800 would seem to be the market price these days for a factory assembled example with it's chest and accessories. Price will be higher for pristine examples, although none of them were rode very hard.
