Have narrowed my search down to these two rail systems. Im just curious if anyone else here has tried the DD Ez-Car. At a $100 cheaper than the Omega it has caught my eye. It will be going on my 16" bushy so free float isn't a huge deal breaker. In the reviews i have been able to find some people have mentioned the shape of the EZ-car is a bit wider, but i use a VFG so it wouldnt bother me. Thoughts?

If floating isn't a big deal then I'd definitely go with the EZ Car for the $ saving. Why buy something more expensive if something cheaper does what you need it to? Not to mention install is WAYYY easier, no real tools required save for probably some allan keys. And it's still DD so it's good quality.

Just my 2 cents.

The Omega is also easy to install, no gun smithing or modification needed. I was just wondering in terms of quality etc. I have read lots of positive reviews on the Omega, just havent been able to find much on the EZ CAR.

Edit: Ordered up the EZ CAR. :)

Not that it really matters now but doesn't the Omega have a proprietary barrel nut? Meaning removal and stripping of the barrel assy. as opposed to just swapping hand guards and bolting them together?

I have an EZ car on my 16 inch and really liked it. The only thing I noticed is that it added a good amount of weight. Recently switched it for a free float system.

Finally picked up my EZ CAR quad rail from the post office. Install was super fast and easy, and it locks VERY solid. Have yet to try it out at the range. Does add a bit of weight, but not anything too substantial. I'm just into rec shooting so it suits my needs just great! $100 cheaper than the Omega, I am impressed.
