Inletting black - where to purchase?

All of the US vendors I've checked (only a couple of the bigger outlets) have export restrictions on inletting black. Do you know of any Canadian vendors that carry it?
 
Thanks for the reply. It would definitely make for an interesting situation at the checkout till.

I've also thought about making my own charcoal.

Edit: I suppose a candle would do something similar to charcoal. A deposit of soot sounds like it would function in the same manner.

The only thing that concerns me about lipstick or waxy substances is that they don't generally mix well with sand paper. I'm new to stock-fitting, so I can't comment with personal experience, however, it seems like it would create a headache.

Makes sense. There's charcoal sticks at the local art store if that helps. Then the candle soot is cheap and readly available.
 
I use anti-seize from the autopart department at Canadian Tire. Brush a little where you want to see, insert action, remove action, and remove any grey spots.
