Mailman came..........again today.
And I am pumped.
Never mounted a scope this low before.
Used whut I had fer inventory.
Weaver bases coming to give me sum options.
This may indeed werkie.

Puttered with the trigger ass'y and the screw got me down to just over three pounds........yuck.
Went and sinned a wee bit and unfaithfully went to nuther site.
Did the trigger mod suggested there and gartzs sniff'n around one pound pull.....beeeyewtahmuzz.
This kit comes with a removeable rear stock insert.
The one shown is for using the sites only.
With this Weaver Classic scope mounted as low as it is dint need the optional one with the cheek riser.
Never tawt oh taking a photo of it. Comes in the box.
I was sniffing round for the full length insert, but I will try this on for size ferst.
Tad short, but dewable.
Any length added to the rear stock is going to create black ocular lens problems me pense.

One thing I must add, not a hinter of a chance the bolt knob will hit the rear bell.
Not like some of those Yerrohpean models.
Not sure what the fruck izz up wid datt.
Never did care fer sewtcase handle mounted scopes.......

I was going to remove the rear sight to help the bottom scope clearance so I could move the contraption back an arf inch or so,
but lordy, I could pick up the sights even with my crappy chewt'in eye.
Stay they will. That front sight izz glowing in brawd daylite...................sweeeeeeeeeet.

Weaver has put together a no nonsense owner's manual.
Never heard of putting the AO on 100 yards and putting the ocular bell on the lowest setting.
Does work good in this order.

Here is their write up on what the fruck Parallax is all about.
Simple and straight forward.

Now I know why in years of yore these scopes were well sought after.
The rings move with a slight friction, but smooooooooooooooooth.
The reticle is called a Dual-X Reticle.
It almost resembles the Leupold Wide Duplex for cross hair sizes, but slightly tighter.
I have a Sightron SI rimfire scope on my Scout, but already like this cross hair better.
The Sightron has a fine X hair, but typical of rimfire scopes, the fine ain't that fine at all.
The blueing on this rifle is dark and appears thick.
The bolt movement is slightly raspy and it looks like the milling of the slots is culprit.
I will try and find a way to smooth these fine lines out.
The trigger now is nice and light. I've made mention to Yo-Yo Dave to maybe come up with
a few spring tensions for the trigger group to bring it below the low factory adjustment of
+- three pounds.
The tang safety is a tad stiff, but hopefully it too will ease in.
The rotary mad works well and the bolt pulls the rounds nicely in a flat rearward motion.
Hopefully the gubbmint will allow the stock Ruger 25 round mags to be used on these rifles.
This would be a bonus.
I really think this rifle is a world of win.
Targets will prove otherwise, but hopefully on the positive.
If this gal proves her worth, there could very well be a 452 Scout up in the EE in the future.
So far,............. I'm impressed with what I have here.
The barrel is floated all the way to the receiver.
The bolt is easy to grab and operate.
The receiver is nicely grooved and drilled with the option of using #12 Weaver bases.
The safey won't come on unless the action is cocked and with the safety on, the bolt
will allow movement to unload.
Todays first two targets ranged with my Leica range finder at 35 yards.
I am really impressed with this set up.
Modified the trigger to one pound and this Weaver scope is just a great bundle.
The very first round I shot through her and not a bad bore sight for 35 yards.
