Some more details confirmed today.

When JARD delivers the first example Xtreme will have a shoot day so members can get some trigger time and hands on. Some of the first examples of this new gun had feed issues that were solved by some design work and this issue has been resolved but Xtreme Gun wants to push it to the limit to see how it performs.

Price. Around $1400. No firm price set at this time but this will be close to retail for this gun.

Multi-Caliber. 5.56 and 7.62 x 39 types will be available eventually. Possibly more calibers later.

Even though this is styled like an AR the internals are all changed from the AR family. The only similarities will be the trigger mechanism and AR compatible mags.

There are a lot cooler NR guns I can buy for way less than 1400 bucks. And I've bought way cooler NR guns for more.

Cash flow isn't the issue, its design vs price. Will see how this one pans out before unloading that kind of cash on the unproven design.

Some people are not intelligent enough to understand these things it appears.

Unknown manufacturer.
Unknown design.
Unknown reliability.
Unknown accuracy.
Unknown build quality.
Unknown warranty service.
Unknown parts compatibility.
Unknown parts availability.
Unknown price, but suspected to be $1400.

vz58, M17s, XCR, ACR, Tavor, M14, Mini 14, Type 97 and any other gun currently on the market is better than the Jard J48 because all of these questions have been answered. While some of these guns vary in each of the answers to these questions, the answers are known as either good, or bad.

Until this gun has more information posted about it, that can be authenticated, it is an UNTESTED and UNPROVEN design. Not a BAD or POOR design, or a good or excellent design.

Because the questions have been asked, and no answers are known.

Until then, $1400 is a tough price to swallow for a gun that no one public knows anything about.

1000 rounds isn't a very extensive test in my books, and any rifle should be able to shoot 1000 rounds in one day without having any major issues..

I imagine in the same fashion as the designers of the LR-300. You use a modified impingement or piston system with a shortened BCG and forward mounted return spring, thus negating the need for a buffer/buffer spring/tube assembly.

why aren't all AR15s designed this way? Well at least the derivatives? I always thought the buffer tube dependency was ridiculous.

So how come Thureon and JR didn't come up with a NR 223 of their own that could take AR mags? Missed opportunity on their part. Looks exactly like a TD, IMO.

I got tons of AR mags and ammo. If in 1K range give or take, I'd get one.

223 needs more than just a blowback design to function. Plus the majority of their business is in the USA where there isn't a need for a cost effective "NR Carbine" because they have AR's
