Hello, I'm new to the black rifle game. I just picked up a non restricted Acr off a fellow cgn'r. I'm looking to put a sling on the rifle. So far I'm looking at a magpul ms3 but I'm open to any suggestions. I like the idea of being able to swap from single to two point. I'd love to see pics of your sling setups even if its on a Ar.

Padded Vickers sling and Magpul hardware

Smart man right here.

This is how I have my ACR set up, and I could not be happier. I went through a few different slings/setups before getting exactly what I wanted. I can't swap to single point, but frankly I never need to.

Magpul MS4 with QD buttons on my XCR. Being able to switch between is very nice. As for it not being padded, hasn't ever bothered me, even wearing it all day. To each their own I guess.

Get a Vickers - single points are for standing up and shooting on a square range - as soon as you start to complicate things, by moving or changing shooting positions, or transitioning from carbine to handgun, single point slings go sideways, Murphy takes over and bad things happen.

Ferro Concepts padded sling. Tried a magpul single point and hated it. Have used these ever since. Very comfortable and made in Calgary.

I've never had a problem transitioning from rifle to pistol, moving, changing shooting position and even transitioning from dominant hand to off hand shooting with a single point sling.

Transition and kneel is the best example, but getting up from prone and transitioning is another good one. Your height will affect how sideways things go - as well as barrel length. Also a single point doesn't do as good a job of keeping the carbine behind you as a good 2 point does.

I purchased a Savvy Sniper Quad X recently and it is hands down the best sling I've ever used. The Quad X is expensive though. There are cheaper versions. I highly recommend you look into one!
