Dagger SAP6 - Mag-fed 12-Gauge review

Great stuff thanks. I'm looking at this gun and a Benelli SuperNova Tac... after you get some more rounds through this gun I am curious to see what you think about the reliability of feeding?

I don't care if people don't like this. Mag-fed shotguns ROCK. I am SO going to get the Black Aces 20-rounder. Do I need it? No. Is it practical? No. Should I have it?

Oh yes.

Cannon

Kind of makes the extra capacity tube shotguns like the UTS and KSG look really silly.

What would really improve this gun is a folding + telescopic stock. It's hard to believe that this shotgun weighs the same as the SU-16.

TI - I just worked on taking off the barrel of my SAP6, and I found that the rail seems to be glued onto the top of the receiver. I took all three bolts out, and was able to free the barrel from the rail, but could not get the rail off the receiver, even with a decent bit of prying force (short of bending the rail). Have you tested the removal process, or is mine just odd for some reason? Also, I am planning on starting to make small batches of stock adaptors to accept AR buttstocks and grips. Maybe we can work together to bring Canada some more fun? Some years ago, I did the same thing for the Ithaca 37, and this is much easier.

If your handy with making stuff, I think a Good seller , at least for me would be a side by side mag clamp.

I will look at the mag clamp - I have an idea or two kickin around in my melon. Anyway, I just got finished shooting my SAP6 this weekend for the first time. I am quite happy with it! I have the same problem with the safety as everyone else, but I honestly don't mind it as much - due to the lack of bolt release, I just figure that in most cases, you can just operate the pump when you are ready to shoot. That being said, I do wish it worked easier! I found the pump has a tiny bit of a learning curve, in that you need to shuck it like you mean it. Once you get that, I've had no issues whatsoever. The trigger is nice, and the stock is nice and sturdy. I haven't had a chance to try the accuracy of slugs for real, since I don't have an optic on it yet. I'm definitely looking forward to playing with it some more, and making some mods for kicks!

So it may or may not have occasional feed problems. Has some interesting design quirks.
Sounds like a really expansive grizzly mag to me!! Lol

Looking at the magazine and reading the reasons for the feeding bobbles makes me wonder;
How are the magazines when handled aggressively?
The mag fed shotguns I've played with (3 diff. ones) the loaded mags suffered from shells standing up to ejecting all the contents with a simple quick hand movement...
All the videos appear that the mag swaps are done at a relaxed pace and not under the stress of a timer or other hi-stress situation (I'm thinking fur coming at you).
My mag feds all worked fine when slow controlled movements were used but doing things quicker caused nothing but headaches...
So how's this one?

No problems with mag changes, though I have found so far that the mags are a bit tight - they usually require a two-step insertion. I rarely am able to seat the mag fully when inserting it initially, I mostly always have to give it a rap from the bottom to fully seat. Not sure if this will change as they wear-in, or if it is a function always inserting a mag on a closed bolt - probably the latter.

Sounds like yours is odd for some reason. After removing the rail screws the rail should come off the receiver without any troubles. Let us know if you need any help.

Definitely! We'd be super excited to work with you to bring out some goodies! Please send us an email so we can discuss

It seems like the trigger inside may have some rust. I tried to push out the pins to get in to clean but the pins seem lodged in. Any advice? I put alan key on top of pins above trigger and hammered to remove but they would not budge. Is there a method to remove the two pins above the trigger to disassemble?

Not likely they have rusted in place, the however the pins can be a tight fit. I would suggest some proper pin punches

The revolution in shotgun design is finally here: introducing the SAP6 magazine fed pump action shotgun, exclusively from Tactical Imports.

The development of the SAP6 shotgun sought to overcome many of the shortfalls of the common and dated shotgun design. The use of a detachable magazine allows for a shorter barrel without the sacrifice of magazine capacity. The shorter length results in a shotgun that is lighter, more compact and faster for CQB, action shooting and hunting scenarios. The detachable magazine also allows for easy and rapid reloading/unloading over conventional tube type systems. Magazine seating is straight insertion style, allowing for smooth and simplistic reloads.

The full length picatinny rail permits the user to tailor their shotgun towards their specific needs/mission requirements with a wide variety of picatinny accessories. The telescoping stock features multiple positions, permitting comfortable use by all.

Reliability has always been a concern with detachable magazine shotguns, which is why the SAP6 has gone under an extensive testing and evaluation process involving multiple prototypes. Tactical Imports was heavily involved during this process to ensure the ultimate in reliability and durability standards.

Comes with two magazines and instruction manual, optics/accessories not included. Non-restricted class. In-stock and ready to ship.

In stock. Non-Restricted . Only $699.
