What is the most dynamic rifle and pistol discipline in ON?

None of this #### is supposed to be "real life".
They're all games.
Kickass, fun.... games.

Competitions or "games" are fun and they are a great way to get out to the range and try something outside your comfort zone. I use competitions as a supplement to military training. There are definitely aspects of competitions that can be used in "real world" situations; being able to identify the effective aspects is key though. Service CQB is a good tool for honing accuracy at the cost of speed. 3 gun is great for movement other than just moving forward and gets you manipulating your gun on the move.

Unless you're getting shot at.... Or there's the likelihood your will be shot at... I respectfully disagree.
From what I've seen... Shooting a match like an "operator" will earn you a last place finish.
My guess is if you're in a fire fight and shoot as if you're in a match... Last place finish as well.

I suppose unless we're using Sim and conducting force on force it's difficult to make competition realistic, which is why I said some aspects and not all. There is still value in good repetitions with regards to moving, shooting from cover and even sight pictures.

3gun will be what you'll most likely enjoy most. Join Galt! Just came back from a great match that they threw. My biggest regret when it comes to shooting sports is not going with them right off the bat. Also a very friendly and helpful crowd. Having never participated in an actual firefight, I can't tell you how realistic it is, but I've learned today that ET better watch out or else........
