$259.97 for Remington 870 (express- sorry!) at Bass Pro (sorry again!)

I have 2 as well. First one stove piped while shooting skeet all day long.
Got a second one yesterday as I am trying to see what all the hype is about. That and B.P. deal was too good to pass up.
So far second one is stove piping and jamming two shells in reciever just like the first one.

I want to love the 870 but it is not making it easy. Hands down my Mossberg 500 is a better gun. Less problems in 5 years than the 870 has given me in a month.

Look up any 1 of the 2 dozen or so youtube videos that explains how to polish the chamber with simple home tools. Once done, I bet you won't have a problem.
Also, are you using a "positive" strong pumping action, or are you limp wristing it Lemar style?? 870's are a man's rifle and require a complete pumping action to ensure 100% reliability.

Funny how this works as I had the opposite experience. I had an 870 express that gave no problems. I also had a Mossberg 500 that gave me nothing but problems.

Do you rack them with force? Dont be afraid of wrecking it, the receiver is bomb proof.

Not my first rodeo guys, not my first or only shotgun. I have put over 300 shells down the barrels of my guns in the last 3 weeks.

I polished the chamber and took a dremel to the groove that the rim catches on.
Yes folks, taking a dremel to a brand new gun with less then a box in it. Sounds like a fine gun.

I bought a second one this week at the BP sale, with empty and dummy shells it is showing same problems as the first.

So let me get this straight. All I need to do is polish chamber, dremel edge of chamber, replace the extractor, only shoot certain shells, rack it a certain way-not like a sissy and just wipe away the rust and its a good gun. Got it.
