I posted this in the red rifle section but thought I would add it here we were elk hunting up in Chetwynd when I surprised myself and this little whitetail who started running accross a field about 100m away took a shot and hit the spine it dropped and took a second shot right away hit through the brisket and was dead before I got to it not the most satisfying hunt for sure but that's all we had to show for a week's elk hunting just no elk this year in the usual spots. Locals are saying lots of wolves in the area driving the elk out as well as very dry summer we had a good time anyways! 203gr mfs soft point.

Excellent!
Keep the high $$$ folks mumbling to themselves about WSM's and such. Put it down with irons and a 70 - 110 year old rifle ( depending on the original platform's man. year of course).
Awesome!

Many 70-110 year old rifles cost much more $$$ than a normal modern bolt action rifle in a chambering of your choice. Compare a garand vs a Ruger or a good condition 1894 vs a savage.

Nice to see the rifle and also seeing it being used!

Beautiful rifle and buck. Would love to take something with one of my Mosins but the area I'm hunting deer is bow or crossbow only. Wanted to get black bear lined up up north but haven't been able to find the time. If I happen upon one while running traps hopefully I have one of my red rifles.

Not that I can do it but I love when I see game taken with an old milsurp and iron sight or issue military scope.

Congrats - a running deer at 100m with a M91 and irons, that's impressive!
