Bear vs Electric fencer (deer carcass)

I work around the powerlines clearing tree's so don't have a gun butt with me, often have to cut trees at waist height because the tree's grown around the wire and are acting like a post.
 
Once food is involved they rarely give up. I used to haze nuisance bears and work on the 'three strikes and you are out' rule. You quickly learn to bring your A game or just shoot the bear.... which is why prevention is key with them.

You can see the gears just a turnin' in his head trying to figure it out.

And he approached it the exact same manner as me testing a fence to see if it's energized. Poke out....jump back.
