Was just browsing Youtube then I saw this video, think it is a cool idea and might even consider doing it on a future project.

There's a guy in the states that makes them. The only problem is his method requires you to trim the corner of the mag and that's a no no. He did inform me that if I wanted, there are some areas of the rifle itself that can be trimmed so that you don't need to touch the mag.

I'd assume their adaptors would be almost like the guy's, just probably different method.

using the adapter could you legally run more than 5 rounds.? How does that work. I understand the LAR mag,..buts that's 223 cal. Is there a 762x39 pistol mag ??
I would defiantly take the time and expense to build one.

lucky man, sounds like its gonna be fun, and yeah I'm pretty sure Robinson arms makes a XCR "pistol" in 7.62x39

I am pretty sure the adaptor you would have to email and mention its a Canadian order from www.thesksmagadapter.com ( I think but you would have to email the guy), and as for the mags they should be floating around the interwebz.

The magazine is for a 7.62x39 AR15 firearm. If you run a Goofle search, you will find other sources and suppliers.

I've been talking with the builder of the adapter. It's possible to use a non modified mag, but you have to clearance a few things in the rifle itself to make it work. It IS to have a legal 10rd SKS, but it's not going to be cheap.

It would be a fun project, I'm almost tempted to to buy one and start making my own custom sks.

every people who modified they sks to to take the 10 rpound pistol mag have to mill or grind the receiver .... not a drop in kit ...

I got no problem with that or what ever it takes to make it a 10 shot. 5 totally sucks !!
