First one I have ever seen in Canada. Missing the mag, but otherwise complete. It is the later version with the stamped receiver.

that is a great find but very illegal here in the states. They are a great piece to have in a collection. Can you have demilled there and made into wall hanger? magazines are around here in the states and some parts are available

As it is part of a museum collection, there is no need to deactivate. I suppose if you could find one deactivated it could be privately owned in Canada. However, I have never seen one here before. A number of Type 63s were converted to semiauto and imported into Australia, but then had to be turned in when new laws were enacted in 1996. I have also seen the 20/5 rd mags here, which would nicely complete the rifle. In fact the museum has two of them, both without mags, which they accessioned from another institution. They did not know what they were and don't even want them as they don't fit with their collection/mandate !!

Nice to see something different, always a pleasant surprise when you get into a Museums storage vault!!! Thought you might enjoy some quick pics.
