It's funny, after having a couple of LAR mags for a couple of years, the 5rd or 10rd thing doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me. I'm always at the range shooting paper, checking my shots through binos - I want to see where I'm hitting. CQB and Service Rifle and designed around 5 round capacity too.
If I were shooting steel or out in the bush more, 10 rounds would make it more fun. Otherwise, meh. It wouldn't effect my decision to buy a particular rifle.

Yea, barrel is fine, but the rifle's action is rusted shut. I demand an all chrome firearm.
I was hoping for closer up view as well. I'd like to see how you did the rear sight.

Meanwhile I am super surprised that anyone is making new 58s, presumably for a military contract (with all the chrome trimmings). It's basically a 50 year old design and the Czech government is using other designs more and more or developing newer designs themselves.

For the hunter i want nickel plating with deer and pheasants engraved in the reciever and the furniture must be real ivory with checkering. Also the barrel must be chromed.
Already have a VZ that I love and admire, but these receivers with a new moveable(!) rear sight make things really tempting... I suppose there's no harm in buying a great rifle twice, right?

The tactical has a threaded end with a cover just like the 858 did. I'm not sure what the thread pitch it is the same as the 858 was. The new Hunter does not have a threaded barrel.
