A few geese down.

I went out this morning with my son, a forum member and a newbie…. Action was slow to start. We got a single right off the bat, missed a few more and then all went quiet until about 9:30 am, then we got a few more flocks come in. Not sure why they came so late but they did…… giving us some more shooting opportunities…… lots of fun… we missed a few more but ended up with a total of 7 birds… Needless to say the newbie is hooked. Did I mention…..lots of fun…

Is it me but Canada Geese seem to be in over abundance..

All last week, there have been a few hundred birds in the fields behind the house.... Went out with my bro yesterday morning and we bagged our limit by 9h45 am. Last night Wind shifted and a cold Wind from the north settled in. Most of the birds are now gone except maybe 20-30 or so........

Went today with 3 guys.

We got 23 ducks
And 19 canada geese.

To me, waterfowling is greater that big game hunting.

I'm hooked. It is gonna cost me a lot to equip myself for next year.

That was my 3th outting.

Did you hunt the field behind the house? If so that probably has more to do with a lack of birds this morning than a strong north wind!

Damn, those geese are almost the same size as your son! I have been on a goose drought this year in the Kawarthas.
