IPSC World Shoot

Whatever makes you happy, buddy. Though if you re-read your posts, they all about you. My video, me shooting with World Champions, me, me me...

But hey, you did not shoot the World Shoot, or even the Nationals and at Provincials you got your ass handed to you by #7 in the world ranks. :kickInTheNuts:

I don't get it. You nagged him before for not shooting the Provincials. He shoots them and beats everyone in Ontario and even JP from Quebec who is world ranked but he still gets over 83% of the 7th best shooter in the world and you knock him now for that? You got beat by a 17 year old at the Provincials and don't compare as well with the 7th best production shooter in the world. You are just a mean spirit, plain and simple.

You're the only person I know that could make a thread out of who DIDN'T shoot a match...I really don't think anyone other than you cares that I didnt go...

I think JP won overall last year (If you combine scores) even beat out the Open guys. JP is a phenominal shooter and a hell of a nice guy.

No Pat you did check again. I know he doesn't shoot open Carsmovies. Pat beat him in combined overall.

Edit, sorry Pat yes last year when you didn't shoot them. :D. Thought you meant this year.

I care Pat!!

Nah, just kidding. :)

World shoot was an eye opener though.
Greece was tough mostly because I didn't really know what I was doing.
I know a bit more now, but still know nothing compared to the guys 70% and up.

Lots of work needs to be done to get anywhere close to that level.

Would be nice to have more challenging matches here to really show people what skills are lacking, and hopefully make everyone elevate their game.
And somehow get behind the juniors who show some promise to hopefully have a world contender come from Canada someday.

Take a look at hit factors for matches and compare open standard and production. You may be surprised at just how important speed is to everyone. Taking too much time to shoot A's costs in all divisions. It might just be a local thing you're experiencing

Dont think this works for comparing standard and open to production....youd be comparing major and minor power factors, which changes total points thereby changing the HF

You don't get a lot of things. Let's leave it at that... :)

I never said that I am a good shooter. On a contrary, I tell everyone that I suck and not really practicing hard, yet I was the top Canadian in Production at the worlds. What does that tell you?

PS: btw, in my books, winning by 6 points (barely a 0.5%) while shooting an Open gun over Standard is something real pathetic to brag about

This! Coincidentally, PapaHotel01 is the IPSC Ontario director directly responsible for anything related to matches in Ontario...

PS: stages we see at his matches at Sharon, are nowhere close to the stuff we had at the Worlds this year. I'd say so far only Guelph, Silverdale and Waterloo matches coming close to that. Those matches are run by people who are traveling to the big matches out of the country and it shows.

I never said that I am a good shooter. yes you have. On a contrary, I tell everyone that I suck and not really practicing hard, you shoot almost every match in southern Ontario and you travel extensively to shoot. yet I was the top Canadian in Production at the worlds. What does that tell you? Sean had a bad day & Damian doesn't shoot anymore?

No matter where, or how often you shoot, or how many people you interact with, people skills just don't seem to rub off on you. Why do you try so hard to be mean, sarcastic and combative to everyone on and off this board?

pmt, first of all check your sources about my attendance to the matches. It is nowhere close to almost all in Ontario. But since then shooting matches is became a practice? But even if they were, most matches here won't make you a good shooter, let alone prepare you to WS, but I guess it is easy to shoot targets crumped together, it make you look good for your mom, so people do like that here.

My attendance to matches or WS does not require to pass on the people skill test. But you are also nowhere close about me being sarcastic to everyone. I select my targets carefully.

PS: the point I am making and you guys can't admit is that almost all Canadians suck (there are 5..6 in the country who can shoot and I am not the one of them). As one of my friends said, you are as good as your best competition.
