Cheap 7.62x39 Range Safe

Like the title says I'm looking for cheap ammo that is range safe. I have over 4000 rounds of FMJ but my range doesn't allow steel case, or FMJ. I've been using hornady bullets but there 80 cents a shot and I was wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of something a little more reasonably priced. Thanks for the help.

According to an indoor range near me it's the potential fragment ricochet as well as sparking hazard that's the issue with steel/bi metal jacketed ammo, was inquiring about it as I would like a TT33.

The casing is not the problem, it's the bullet. The steel jacket of those bullet damage the firing range backstop(or bullet traps) or even worse, pass through it. They cannot operate the range safely if those are damaged. That mean they must close the range then repair$$ or replace$$$$ those.

Yes, ^^^ OP mistakenly typed case instead of jacket. Core is also not the issue either. As in the example I posted above where those are a lead core projectile but are still wrapped in steel/metal.

ya ive looked at the bimetal jackets but even if it sticks a little they dont want it in there because it ruins the back stop. It is also an indoor range. I most likely will be switching ranges but I like that its 50 yards and its inside for those ####ty winter days. m-a-x those ones yo had a link to are still a full metal jacket. It doesnt look there are many options out there for a reasonable price like 30-50 cents a bullet

FMJ yes but the jacket is copper, most bullets are like that. So it's range safe

Ranges refuse bullets that contain steel.

Copper jacket with a lead core is fine, it steel or lead core with a bimetal jacket lots of ranges not allow. The shell casing metal doesn't come into play with the range issue.
