Goose Tracker: Where Have You Guys Seen Geese This Year? (Ontario)

Went out this weekend a couple times 25 km south of Owen Sound. We were set up by daybreak and stayed for atleast 3 hours each time, saw maybe 3 small flocks each time and only had one of them come into our decoys.

We saw a lot more in this area 2 weeks to a month ago when I didn't have my gun up. I hope they're still coming it's my first year goose hunting!

You guys having any better luck?
 
I am not sure geese are so scarce that you need to hide your hunting spot, where I am you trip over them as you walk

just find a corn field they are taking a few rows off by now

Not at all. I said 25km south of Owen Sound (near chatsworth) and punisher said caledon. Now try finding our spots. Pretty much any field you want to hunt in in southern Ontario is private so you would need permission anyway.

I was just curious what general areas in Ontario are seeing lots of geese.

No shortage of them in NW Ont. My front lawn has been a favorite hang out for them. Also see many flocks heading south with lawn chairs and beach umbrella's tucked under there little wings.
 
We hunt 81a, 81b and 80......He have shot 212 geese now between 6 guys. I wish I could of went tonight, Another 100-200 on the pond and in our wheat fields....


Good luck getting permission if you come down this way....We have it all on lock down LOL

Wow that's awesome. We're hunting just north of 80 so I have high hopes for the coming weekends

Although it seems like I've been seeing a lot more driving around west of there

Yeah but there is no crown land in southern Ontario so we would have to ask for permission everywhere. Might just end up doing that.

Was hoping they would come to us :D

Sorry I'm not used to asking random people to hunt their land, as I said first post, this is my first year hunting geese. Will probably give that a try eventually.
