I'm about to start one and looking for some inspiration.

So far I've got:

LSS Stock
XLR Tactical Butt stock
Pierce Action
700 3 screw trigger
Bench Mark 6.5MM 700 var contour 8 twist blank
brake ??

chambering narrowed to .260 or 6.5x47 bbl length 24ish"

cheers

Looking forward to see LSS chassis pictures!
Im on the fence for my savage 10TR now that theyre available for bottom bolt release.
I am scared that it will look to minimalistic, and that the stock will be too low for a good cheek.

Rem 700 SPS Tactical 20 inch barrell , ken farrell 20 moa rail , Timney 510 trigger, Magpul CTR butt stock with 3/4 in cheek riser and enhanced buttpad, Magpul MIAD grip , Badger Ordnance bolt knob , AICS mags, Bushnell 10x

I just picked up an ATRS AR 10 muzzle brake for it

Pic was taken before adding enhanced butt pad and the 20 moa rail.

The 24 inch does look long however this lss is a little different...

I talked to MDT a few months ago when they first released the LSS Chassis. I did ask them about optimal barrel length and they are recommending 20" to 22" as optimal.

I've heard they are releasing an LSS chassis with a longer fore end to accommodate longer barrels.

Great little setup would love to add a silencer to it but unfortunately you know how it is.

As for the railed variants that you showed us defiantly not worth the extra weight for the "look cool" factor in my opinion.
Unless you have a nightvision optic to mount to the front, the extra rails take away from what I think is the main advantage of the LSS which is its very minimalist, lightweight design.

Not the rail that's of interest, its the longer fore end. I want to run a longer bbl then what normally you'd expect on an lss.

I have been interested in an LSS build. I'm curious, as are others I am sure, what the weights of these rifles are (sans scope ). Would be appreciated if weights were posted.

My 700 chambered in 223 with a 24" barrel in the LSS weighs in @ 13.5 lbs. My other 700 chambered in 260 also has a 24" barrel in the Cadex and weighs in @ 15 lbs.

I have to find that Hera folding adapter... Where in Canada can I find that?

Tier One Armoury in Edmonton has them in stock (as of last week). I got mine a couple months ago from Tier One when they showed me their pre-release unit they grabbed at shot or wherever they got it from. Helps to know people :D

You mean suppressor of course.
I have the same rifle in an AICS 1.5. Love that rifle, I've got 3 rifles chambered in 300BLK now and love shooting them.

I've swapped out the Burris for a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 since this photo.

lol ya i never took it off.
it was on with a 20" barrel before. more field practical. not so much any more.
also i am still deciding on a different but stock option.
