Norinco NS522 Has opened my eyes!

Just free floated the barrel on mine , added pillars and bedded the action.. Just waiting for the paint to dry on the stock and hopefully get to shoot it this weekend .. The only bad thing about these rifles is the stock , its very poor fitting , i had to rasp and sand lots to get the barrel to float there was lots of upward force pushing on the barrel when you tighten the action screws .
Did you shoot it before so we can see what kind of difference it makes? I will be adding pillars and bedding my 3 also, plus cleaning up the trigger assy a bit! Looking forward to getting started, they will make a good winter project!

I may have to try this. Sounds like it would help big time

Yes he would, 1 ns522 + a brick of good ammo+ a bottle of johnny blue a couple flats of beer and a case of wine, A half dozen lap dances, maybe even a barrel of chicken!! Alcohol to be consumed after the shooting was done of course!

easy to talk, harder to prove heh?

If you watch the video posted on the first page, I used a burris fullfield 4.5-14x. Which is probably overkill if you're only shooting 50 yards, but is a really amazing scope for 100 yard shooting. Watch the video and I show some results at the end.

and you only bought them because you wanted some spare magazines... right ;)
I was waiting for them to go on sale and was even going to emal him to see if I could get a deal on 3or 4, My 12 year old just joined Army Cadets and wants to be on the shooting squad I wanted one for myself and a spare,,cause there are no spare parts for these! once I get them cleaned up , bedded and the trigger smoothed out I am going to see if the Cadet squad is allowed to shoot them once in a while instead of the pellet guns, heavily supervised of course! These are fantastic guns that just need a bit of fine tuning, I may need another one!
If anyone knows where I can get some Aperture sight for this please let me know!

Chinese make very good stuff now. Heck you trust your life to their craftsmanship when ever you fly on a plane.

Yes, up UNTIL 3 weeks ago I was flying the Q 400 which has most of the fuselage built in China and the c series will have some components built in China also!
If you want to sell airplanes to other countries you have to throw them some work!
