It probably will move in when closed but if it doesn't the owner should care. A top lever over to the left when the gun is closed is a sign that the locking bolts are worn and/or the gun is off the face. In a used gun it's a sign of wear and possibly poor maintenance. In a new gun it's a sign of shoddy workmanship.
It does straighten out when closed. I'm not sure about the wood, some sort of hardwood, I don't it's too high quality, but does the job and looks nice. I don't think you can get parts, the gun was only $313.19 to my door, pretty awesome deal (kudos to CanAm). Negative on different stocks or camo.
I've read from other Outlaw and Backpacker owners that the forend or stocks get loose after a few rounds. Me and my buddies put 48 slugs, mostly magnum loads, and the Outlaw is tight as a fishes *******, and that's water tight!
Our collective shoulders gave out before the Outlaw, once again great job CanAm.
There out of stock now, but I'd highly recommend these firearms.
Out,
