For the love of God..stop stippling your Glocks!

never have i felt that stippling was needed on my glocks. i agree that my interest in a used glock DROPS when i see it was previously stippled

I honestly dont mind the idea of stippling as long as its done RIGHT. If it's bubba's first time it had better only be on his pmags.
I was thinking about stippling my M&P9 at some point after i had honed my technique on a few more pmags, but know that i have decided to sell my M&P9 I know it would probably be wise not to do it as it limits your resale market.

I don't get to shoot as often as I like, but when I do shoot it's an all day affair with 1000+ rounds. I can tell you that I've tried super sharp grippy G10 on 1911's and SIG's and after a good session my hands were raw from it. Skateboard tape, same thing. There is a middle ground for me and I Iean on the smoother side for extended shooting comfort. Sharp grippy stuff offered me ZERO benefit, didn't shoot faster/better/group tighter....nothing but sore hands.
So what's a "shooter" to you? Someone that puts 100 rounds a week, 400 rounds a month, 5000 rounds a year?

I stipple the removable and replaceable ($3.00) back strap on my M&P's. Carve them too. I now have a more CZ grip on all of my M&P's. I can order original backstraps any time for next to noting from Brownells. I would not touch the frame though. I don't plan on selling any of my pistols but I have no idea why I would stipple the frame anyway. BTW the stippling had no apparent effect on my mediocre shooting. But the stippling does confuse the masses until they see me shoot especially if I am wearing dark sun glasses.

It's a glock. Its sole value is as a bullet launcher. I value it like I value a bic lighter. Does it light? Perfect.
Someone who is primarily interested in performance, not acquisition, and who plans and behaves accordingly.

You should probably practice LOTS with it and be sure you are happy with it before breaking out the iron. If you bought it and thought stippling will make you shoot better that's a costly mistake. It should be shot to #### by the time you are ready to dump it on the EE if you went so far as to bubba it.....not this "like new, 50 rounds fired, custom stippled frame" bull####.
I haven't bought one pistol yet and been concerned about resale. I buy guns to shoot them, I don't buy guns to collect them, and sell them for the next gun or project.
I wouldn't stipple my Glock because a Hoge grip is pretty good.
I am going to stipple my M&P 9 because I want more grip. I am also going to remove the texture on the bottom of the trigger guard because after an entire day of shooting it rubs my finger raw. My M&P 9 will be worn out by me, I will extract all of its value using it to shoot. I have come to the decision that the M&P needs stippling after having put at least 10000 rounds down the pipe. The only time I really wanted stippling was on a course, outdoors, hot and sweaty. Grip suffered. My M&P is my go to, I'll stipple it.
If it's your gun do whatever you want to it but don't expect others to appreciate your mods. A gun is only a tool, it ain't sacred, especially a Glock.

Stipple it....might as well engrave your SIN number on it as well. Pretty much the lamest "mod" bubba can do these days, right up there with tacticooling an SKS....completely looks like dog####.
Can't hang on to your gun, buy one of these instead Nancy....
