Timney Trigger for Swed M96 in Canada?

Probably a special order thing, but you might get lucky. You're looking for a M95-6 #103 Trigger. Epp's is Timney dealer.

I know your looking for a Timney trigger but have you considered a Bold trigger. not sure if anyone sells them up here but Boyds carries them and they shipped one with a stock I ordered. They come pre set at 3lbs and are crisp.

Scott...

I would second that ^^^.

I bought a couple of Timney triggers from a local supplier. Painfully slow and a LOT more money than the Bold trigger and when I lay them side by side there isn't a hill of beans difference between the two triggers. Different colour and some different fastners is about all. Will have to wait and see if there is any difference after a few years of use.

Dave.

Bold triggers are the cat's meow imo.
Tunable to a very nice letoff, and well priced too.
One of my M96 triggers, set at a crisp two pounds with zero creep or overtravel, has chugged through two barrels worth of bush shooting without ever being touched.

I run them dry or with just a drop of lock-eeze graphite lube, they don't tolerate much gummed up oil in 'em when it gets really cold.

I have both Bold and Dayton Traister triggers.
The D.T. trigger can be purchased as part of a package to convert to "####-on-opening"
Both the Bold and D.T. triggers are decent triggers.
The last Bold triggers that I got were $38.00 each

My "best ever Swede shooter" started out with a D.T. #### on open and trigger ass'y.. Not too a bad trigger pull was had, after some extensive tweaking/shimming to reduce overtravel, and to sharpen up the let-off ... around 2.5 lbs with one notchy creep glitch if I recall correctly. I made it work ok.
After maybe 10 or 12 years, the trigger broke. Investment cast or sintered metal trigger sear let go (thousands of firings in sub sub zero conditions may have contributed to that)

A bold trigger replaced the broken D.T. unit. The D.T. COO cocking piece, mainspring, and all the mods to bolt cocking cam were left intact.
For the last decade now I've enjoyed a very short striker fall with fast lock time, and a super crisp 1.5 lb letoff with zero creep or overtravel. The downside is that have not been able to make the low swing safety work at all with this combo of parts. Not a prob for me, as this rifle is only ever single loaded and only used for deliberate LR fire from prone.

It does need to be run bone dry in the deep cold though, or occasional hangfires will occur.

It did produce a 300 yd agony snap 49/50 5 v bull score at hungry's most recent Pet PR clinic/shoot however ...;)
