Interviews with nine survivors of the 6 Day War

Never had a need to hear about it third hand. One of my Cadets' da was a Sgt in half tracks for that one.

Thanks for the interesting info. People get around, don't they?

I found this short summary of the war from British Pathe.

The unit Uri Geller was a part of must have been the paratroopers. From what little I could find, his injuries were sustained in the Battle for Ammuntion Hill.

Uri Geller? Wasn't he the guy that bent spoons with his mind, supposedly ? :)

Grizz

There was a donut shop in Mississauga owned by older Egyptian gentleman some years back (guy died since -RIP).

He spend Six Day War behind a desk in trucking depot.
Every time I asked him about it he went into fit about incompetency of Egyptian military bureaucracy and chaos in chain of command during and quite a bit after the war.
He also had some interesting insights about Russian wheeled equipment, spare parts, education of conscripts etc.

If you talk to folks around GTA it's easy to find veterans from just about every war and conflict around the world for last 40 years.
they have some very interesting stories to tell when/if you get them to open up an spill it.
