I'm looking into doing this wildcat. I will be doing it on a rem 700 SA. I have 2 300 WSMs and enjoy them both. This seems to be the natural progression. Has anybody done this? Any bright ideas? Flame away!

I just had one built on a Sako 85. Just waiting for it to arrive. The gunsmith did the barrel break in and was getting about 150-200 Fps faster then my 9.3x62

I guess that sounds about right, what weight of projectile are you using? It seems like it should be moving faster considering comparing the case capacities (thinking in my head 30-06 vs. 300WSM), but I guess your bullet weight is fairly heavy, are you loading it very hot?
Good for you for doing something this different, I have admiration for folks that can think up and make hybrids like this.

The 375Ruger would have preempted a 375WSM so either one would be a bigtime goof. Same with a 366WSM. Sounds good for a bunch of gunnuts sitting around, but Mr. Regular Joe Public would not be buying any of them.Winchester goofed bigtime when they brought out the .325 WSM instead of the .375 version. A .366 would fill
the bill nicely for anything from plinking to the big stuff.![]()
Any thoughts on a 9.3-375 Ruger?
