FYI - A Model 41 Carcano should be in 6.5x52 Mannlicher Carcano, not 6.5x50 Japanese semi-rimmed.

If it's in the Japanese round, it's been messed with.

Unless, its a Japanese Carcano Type I rifle.

Then it wouldn't be called a Model 41 Carcano, would it? I read 'CARCANO 41' as an 1891/41 Carcano - the one with the 27 inch barrel, made in the 40's.

If he has an 1891/41 in 6.5x50 SR, it's messed with. If he has a Type I, he's incorrect in calling it a Model 41 Carcano.

Andurp, Nabs, and JP - it is in 6.5X52. I simply hit the wrong key entering the numbers and didn't catch it, but I'm learning something so I got that going for me...

I figured that was the case, but you really never know. With bubbas and just general legitimate oddities, anything is possible. A 91/41 Carcano will be sub 500 dollars in very good shape. Perhaps around 4? I want one, but I'm not too up to date on prices right now because I'm too broke at the moment anyway.

The M41 Carcano if its in VG+ condition I don't see selling above 300$ (I know a place that has been trying to sell a VG+ one for months at 250$). Just not enough interest and ammo is difficult to find at the moment (the only stuff really commercially available at the moment is Norma ammo for 40+$ a box of 20).

Is it a Mas 36 of Mas 36/51 (if it has the Grenade Launcher it is the 36/51). If it is a Mas 36/51 in Exc condition (they come up a fair bit like that) around 400-600$. If it is Mas 36 likely a little bit of a premium on that provided the condition is the same (if it is WWII or earlier manufacture that commands a extra nice premium as not to many WWII dated ones come up).

The Mas 49 (the semi-auto right) I could see going for 1400$ maybe. The issue is there isn't many in Canada which makes them more expensive but by the same regard people for some reason are willing to pay significantly more for a mismatched (i.e. home built) Garand then these rifles.

The Steyr-Mannlicher just based on the information provided I could see selling anywhere from 150-300$ depending on model type and condition (if it is one of those M95/30s also called M95/34s expect around 200$).

The P14 I could see selling anywhere from around 350-600$ depending on condition (most sell at 400$, also if it has the volley sights still it is worth a good deal more than 600$ maybe around 1000$).

The 8x56r ammo I can see selling for 10$ a box of 10 still on the mannlicher clips, though it might take a bit of time to sell.

These are just rough ideas for what I have seen some of these go for. Without pictures and more information these are the best guesstimates i could come up with. Hope this helps

Happens to all of us, any idea what the date of maker is on the top of the barrel ? if she is Terni made, you will see a rectangular box with a crown at the top the last two digits of the year (41, 42). 1943 made examples only have the crown in the box.

$20 or more. I've seen the clips alone go for $10/each.
