It works better if you spin the goose in a 360.

I definitely misread the title of the thread as moose not goose! First couple of posts about breaking necks I was like.."ahh....?" just do same as for a duck, a quick twist or like with turkeys grab a inch below head and give it a quick spin.

Depends on what type of goose, if it is a grey goose, I usually just take the lid off and down the last bit... Oh, wait, you meant the birds?
